The Critical Platform Studies Group (CritPlat) is an interdisciplinary research collective that interrogates information systems and practices to surface the power dynamics reflected in the production and allocation of information goods.
We seek to open new opportunities for inquiry into the role large information platforms play in society, convene critical conversations in existing information systems scholarly venues, and extend theoretical frameworks that make sense of emerging institutional forms.
